I'm lucky. I grew up surrounded by incredibly creative people, including my Mama and Papa, a photographer/entrepreneur and a creative director. They stressed the importance of presenting yourself as an individual rather than blending in and I took that to heart. I started the first half of my life in New York City and then moved to Florida. Style in a warm climate is different. People were not nearly as adventurous as they were in the big city but I had no intentions of just wearing t-shirts and flip flops everyday. When traveling, we would to go flea markets or head to local thrift shops and I would find pieces that would bring me joy. I would mix them into my wardrobe and soon enough people began to notice and ask me to show them the ropes of second hand shopping and DIYs. This is when the concept of a blog seemed absolutely perfect- a platform to share my tips, tricks, and finds with those that may be wanting to dive into the world of affordable style.
